 New Mom
and Baby Circles

Mother and Baby

There is a place for you both here.

Imagine the beloved auntie’s hands reaching for your newborn without your asking, or having a group of friends with which to share the joys and struggles of early motherhood.

This is the real village of care that we are reweaving together. New Mom and Baby Circles offer a soft and supportive space in which to be seen, held, listened to, nourished and celebrated.

I bring the experience and wisdom from my many years of supporting moms through pregnancy, childbirth and early mothering, my study of Yoga, wellness and mindfulness, my own experience of mothering, and my training as a birth doula, to facilitate intentional, nourishing community gatherings of moms and babies.  For ten weeks, the same small group of moms and new (pre-walking) babies will gather to receive relevant and impactful support.

Pregnancy and newborn care are meant to be shared community experiences.

Together, we will co-create strong common values, creating a non-judgmental, confidential container in which each participant can feel safe to share honestly about the wonderful parts and the challenging parts of early mothering.

During some circles, a wise woman will come to present on topics such as infant massage, postpartum nutrition, creating rhythm in childhood, relationship wellness, mom and baby yoga, etc. Moms will leave with tips they can put into use right away to create a little more ease and joy in family life.

Motherhood can get very full and fast, and slowing down to be present with your baby can slow down time in a meaningful way for both of you.

Each week a hearty snack and herbal tea will be served and there will be time to discuss the weekly theme. Over the course of ten weeks, many recipes and resources will be shared and friendships may form and deepen.Whether this is your first child or an adopted child or you have children already, taking time weekly to connect with your newborn and to offer listening to the other moms in your community is good medicine.

Community is the missing piece of postpartum support for so many of us. Sometimes  coming together for tea and listening can be just what a new mom needs.
